If you are already renting carts from Granger, the only thing that will change is your billing. You can start using your carts as soon as you receive them. You may keep your recycling bin or leave it out for Granger to remove. If you wish to get rid of your own cans, Granger will pick them up as trash if they are clearly marked as such. Use of the new carts is required by Granger – individual trash cans will no longer be emptied. The new carts will allow Granger to use automated side-load “arms” to pick up and empty the carts. Check your mail for more information on service changes, which will start with the July 7 collection (collection that week will be on Thursday due to the 4th of July holiday). Starting June 23, Granger Waste Services will begin delivering new trash and recycling carts to residents. Holidays that fall on weekdays cause collection to be delayed one day for that day and the following service days for the rest of that week.Place recyclables away from your mailbox, parked cars, poles, or low hanging limbs.If you see an orange (WM communities) or yellow (Priority Waste communities) sticker, it probably means your materials are improperly prepared. Recyclables that contain contamination such as food, plastic bags, tangler’s will not be collected.Each resident has a one business day window to report a missed pick-up. Report all missed collections on your service day or before 5:00 pm the next business day by calling MMWA.If your properly prepared materials were out within the proper timeframe but not picked up, please leave them out until they are serviced.Residents should have their recyclables out by 7:00 am on their regular service day.
